The Foundation is a company limited by guarantee. The members of the Foundation’s Board of Directors bring a vast array of business and commercial skills, not to mention passion for our vision of raising funds for healthier and happier kids. 

John Perkins BE (Syd -Elec Hons), MBA (macq), AICD diploma– Founder  / Treasurer

John is director and co-founder with wife Justine, of the Touched by Olivia Foundation which is focused on improving the health and happiness of Australian children.

With a career focused within the Australian IT industry, in 1987 John graduated with honors in Electrical Engineering from the University of Sydney before undertaking a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in 1992 from Macquarie University

John established his first IT company in 1995 and founded two other internet companies during the dot.com boom, later selling these companies to the publically listed Solution6 in 2001. In 2007 John established a new IT Business with the initiative delivering 100% of net profits to charity each year.

When in November 2006, John and Justine lost their eight month-old baby daughter, Olivia, to a rare disease called lymphangioma, their lives and that of their young family would never be the same again. Olivia’s loss formed the catalyst to establishing the Touched by Olivia Foundation in February 2007.

Prior to launching Touched by Olivia in 2007, John and his wife Justine have enjoyed over a 20 year history of being heavily committed to community work, John has been recognized with numerous awards for his community contributions.

From 2006-2009 John also served on the Board of Australia’s leading charity for 0-8 year-olds - Good Beginnings Australia.

In 2009, in recognition of his work with Touched by Olivia Foundation, John was named NSW Inner West Community Father of the Year.

Fleur Sullivan B.Ec. (Syd) CA

Fleur has been involved with Touched by Olivia Foundation since its inception through her long friendship with Justine and John Perkins, Olivia’s parents.

Armed with a Bachelor of Economics, Fleur embarked on a 15 year career in finance, sales and human resources, first with Arthur Andersen and then with Vodafone – where Fleur and Justine were a formidable force for more than 10 years.

Fleur brings a wealth of commercial and business experience to the board of Touched by Olivia Foundation and is heavily involved in the Foundation’s fundraising, philanthropic and community activities.

Currently a stay at home mum, Fleur’s work with the Foundation is an extension of her home life and she is fully committed to realising our dreams.

Matt Coren B.Com(Hons) LLB(Hons)

Matt joined Boral in December 2010 following a 17 year career in investment banking. In his previous roles with global investment banks, Matt focussed on advising clients in industrial sectors on strategy, M&A and capital markets transactions. Matt holds Honours Degrees in Commerce and Law from The University of Queensland.
