How you can help

We are always looking for volunteers to help us realise our dreams. Our charity is 100% volunteer based which means that we can operate at $0 overheads enabling 100% of funds raised to go to our cause. It doesn’t take much to make a difference to the lives of our children. Whether it is an hour a week, an hour a month, an hour a year, we would love to hear from you. Fundraising

There are many ways you can help us in our fundraising efforts. This year we have 2 Sydney based fundraising events – The Butterfly Ball on 2 May 2008 and our Family Fun Fair on 16 November 2008. Please let us know if you would like to help out at the event.

Sales and Marketing

The success of our fundraising depends heavily on how we market our event. If you have experience in sales and marketing and would like to help us spread the word of our events, we would love to hear from you.

Sponsorship

We are always looking for sponsors to endorse our events through monetary and in-kind donations. Our Foundation is an opportunity for businesses and corporates to invest in the well-being of our children. We offer different types of sponsorships for our events and in return provide tiered levels of benefits. We would love support to help structure and offer packages that can suit all types of different entities.

Grants

There are many opportunities to apply for third party funding, both within the private and government sectors. We are looking for support to help manage our grant application register and customise and submit grant applications for the numerous funding periods for which we qualify.

Media

Gaining exposure through media is extremely effective but can be expensive. We are constantly seeking media partners to help share our story and spread the word to the greater community. Development of timely press releases and introductions to the various types of media exposure available would be extremely useful.

In-kind donations

Much of our fundraising is obtained through selling donated items at our events, via raffles and auctions. It is important that we can offer our supporters the opportunity to access high quality prizes. We constantly approach businesses for support and seek to obtain all prizes/items at zero cost. This enables all funds raised to go directly to the cause. Our approach is one of partnership and we like to offer our generous suppliers the opportunity to be recognised for their support via our website and marketing materials. If you have any contacts within the business world, including retail, we would love to receive an introduction.

Website

We invest much time in ensuring our website is up to date with all of our news and event information. We would love support in helping us draft the necessary material as well as manage the layout and format of our website so that it is easy to navigate and information is readily accessed.

Playground specialists

A major part of our initiatives focus on raising funds to build our network of all-abilities “Livvi’s Place” playgrounds around Australia. Playgrounds are inherently expensive and raise many considerations to ensure the facility is the best facility for the community and meets Australian standards. We require guidance on all aspects of playground construction, from design through to installation and maintenance, to ensure that we are constantly up to date with developments and research in this area.

Early childhood specialists

Our playgrounds will be wonderful places for children to play as well as meeting the needs of families. Through our partnership with Good Beginnings Australia (Australia’s leading national charity for 0-8yo’s), we aim to be able to deliver parenting and children based programs at our playgrounds to help families gain confidence and skill in life. Through these programs we hope to build community based social networks for families that will engender community spirit. We would love people specialised in early childhood and parenting to help us run these programs

Audio visual production support

One of the ways in which we can continue to deliver our message and celebrate our achievements is through our audio visual media. Any support we can gain in helping us with our audio visual production requirements would be fantastic.

Patrons and Ambassadors

Patrons and Ambassadors are critical to assisting raise our Foundation’s profile. They provide essential endorsement and, by their very nature, give a charity heightened exposure and credibility. If you have any contacts for well-known identities who you think may be interested in joining our charity as a Patron or Ambassador, we would love an introduction.

General Support

We have lots of other activities and tasks that simply require an enthusiastic and fun approach. Any offers of time and energy to help us with the general administration of running our business would be gratefully received. We would be happy to work with you to allocate a task that best meets your needs and the time you have available.
